If you own a Nook Color, and are a little jealous about those Motorola Xoom users being able to access Hulu by simply turning of Flash, you're in luck! It turns out that the same hack that gives the Xoom Hulu access works on Barnes & Noble's touchscreen e-reader (and streaming TV shows is totally what an e-reader is for, not books!).

The similariy was discovered by Android Central member Alex Kuklinski ("Huskermania"), who was trying to apply the Flash hack to his Xoom. Unfortunately, the hack didn't appear to work on his tablet, so he figured he'd try it on another device. Much to his surprise, Alex was able to stream Hulu from his Nook Color.

To get it on your Nook, you will need to install the original modified Flash file over at XDA and put it in Dropbox (or an e-mail if you don't use Dropbox--you just need to get to it onto the Nook). Make sure your Nook Color can install apps not just from the Market in settings, and then uninstall Flash. Next, you'll need to install both Dropbox (install Flash when it prompts) and Dolphin Browser HD (skip adding your email address if it's your first time running it) to your Nook. Change the user agent and the head to Hulu. Watch a video, wait for the advert to finish and then change the resolution. Hulu now works!

Given that both the Xoom and the Nook Color run Android, it is not a total surprise that this trick works. With that in mind, it would be cool to see this running on other tablets or cellphones, like the HTC Desire HD or Samsung Galaxy Tab perhaps.

Check out the video below to see the Hulu'd Nook in action, and get more detailed instructions from Alex's Android Central post.
