PageNest Free Edition

PageNest lets you download single Web pages or entire sites and browse them at your leisure. It uses a multithreaded download method that works very quickly, and it has a built-in browser with which to view the downloaded content.

The program worked well in my tests, but navigating the downloaded sites was a little slower than browsing online. Also, some sites would not recognize PageNest; to get around that, I needed to go into Options and change how the downloader appears to Web sites. Choosing Firefox solved the problem right away.

This version of this program includes ads for the vendor's other programs on its Welcome screen, but it is free for home, educational, or nonprofit use. Business users need to purchase the $40 PageNest Pro, which has no ads and includes more advanced features like scheduled downloads and automatic log-ins.

PageNest is a quick and easy way to archive Web content for offline viewing when you don't have Internet access.
