Magic ASCII Picture Convert

This little program performs an unusual task: It takes a digital photo and turns it into an image made up of ASCII text, either full color or black-and-white. The image can be copied to your clipboard, saved as an HTML file, or printed.

Magic ASCII Picture Convert is easy to use. Just launch the program; open a JPEG file; choose the color scheme; change the font it you'd like; and save the HTML file. Open the resulting file in your browser of choice and you'll see an ASCII rendering of your picture. The preview function didn't work well in my tests, but other than that the program did the trick.

The question is, just who will need this trick? If you think you would find text versions of your pictures useful or interesting, you can download the trial version linked here and give Magic ASCII Picture Convert a try--it's free for 10 days, and costs $20 to keep.
