Ace Pro Screensaver Creator

Ace Pro also works with Nufsoft's own Nature Illusion Studio. This is the only way the screensaver will animate, as animated GIFs are not supported.

The most interesting feature of Ace Pro is the ability to commercialize your screensaver. It's possible to make the screensaver into a demo that requires a key purchase in order to unlock. However, it does not include a mechanism for actually purchasing said key--you'll have to set that up on your own site, with your own credit card or PayPal processor. The usefulness of such a feature is difficult to determine. Perhaps this is an easy way for a commercial photographer to monetize his or her work.

One unusual bug is that if you've already installed another Nufsoft trial, such as Nature Illusion Studio, let it expire, then install Ace Pro, it expires that same day. Perhaps Nufsoft should use individual registry entries to prevent this from happening.

The price seems steep as well. $79 for this kind of utility is awfully high, though it does include full versions of Nufsoft's Nature Illusion Studio Pro and Water Illusion Screensaver. Nufsoft sells these for $50 and $20, respectively, so you're basically getting the screensaver for $9.Therefore, this utility is recommended for people interested in the other programs in the bundle. At $9, it seems like a good deal. At $79, less so.

Note: The 30-day trial version has nag text in the upper left corner of all created screensavers. The $79 full version removes this nag text, and adds technical support and a year of free upgrades.
