Chain3 starts with the basic premise of Bejeweled: You maneuver matching game pieces to line up, which makes them disappear and scores you points. Chain3 differs from most such games in that you can move pieces anywhere you want to engineer longer and more involved successive matches or chains.

This casual game maintains the pace with a white life bar line that gradually drops down the screen. If it hits the bottom you're toast, so keep the bar propped up by continually creating matches. As you create matches, the game level and difficulty increase as you'd expect.

You can move additional pieces around for a short time after a match to set up longer chains, and a tutorial offers some guidance on the game's emphasis on such longer, strategic building. A futuristic sound set includes a robot techno voice that calls out the number of chains you create.

If you like this kind of puzzle game, then you'll likely get $4 worth of fun out of Chain3.
