PageNest Pro lets you download Web pages or entire sites for offline viewing; download raw code for Web pages to make changes; automatically log in to protected sites; and schedule site downloads or page updates.

Setting up new site downloads and scheduling updates is quick and easy, but navigating the interface is a little tricky. For example, if you drill down from the Welcome tab, you need to click the Home icon to reinstate the starting page. And it's not clear if you can add site categories to the list, or if you're limited to the default Business, Computers, Finance, Humour, Kids, and Software options.

This program is feature rich and somewhat complicated, so it's a good idea to read the online instruction manual before getting started. You'll want to download this 15-use trial version before buying, too, to see how it runs on your system: Switching between downloaded pages and performing tasks was somewhat slow on my aging ThinkPad.

This $40 Pro version is a good fit for Webmasters and for people who do heavy-duty research on the Web; its ability to download raw content and to schedule updates could come in handy. However, if you just want a way to download a few sites for offline browsing, the more limited ad-supported PageNest Free Edition would be sufficient for your needs.
