However, the program has a few flaws. The interface is very busy, and although it's not entirely unintuitive, it has several problems. For example, it is not easy to change search text--you must create a new search instead of editing the text of an old one. The crowded screen hides many buttons, options, and fields, and it can be easy to lose track of where you are and what you are doing. While I am sure these issues fade for an experienced user, the initial experience is overwhelming.

Using Munnin-Light is, once you've mastered the interface, fairly straightforward. You select a category from the very useful tree on the left, then type a search string (such as "HP Laptop" or "Transformers") into the text bar located in the midst of many other controls on the right, then click the "Go" button. A list of items matching your search will appear, and you can then save individual items, or the search parameters, off to a favorites list, or mark particular items to be watched. Clicking the hard-to-notice Advanced Search Options button will allow you to filter searches by price, start date, and so on.

Munnin-Light is aimed at people who do a lot of eBay shopping, most likely bargain hunters or those who want to buy low and sell high. It can be used for a casual buyer, but it seems to be overkill--just search eBay! There are a number of commercial versions of Munnin which add features, such as being able to save search results into a database or bulk-download full auction details.
