Sure, drones get a pretty bad rap, whether it’s for their potential to spy on us from above or further Jeff Bezos’s plans for global domination. But a drone that can give us a You Are There point-of-view from within a fireworks show? Well, I for one welcome our drone conquerors.

Some mad genius rigged up a DJI Phantom 2 drone with a GoPro Hero 3 Silver camera, flew the contraption into a fireworks show, and then posted the results on YouTube. You’ll be pleased to know the drone survived the trip.
