In the video above, you'll see people pulling off some cool stunts on their BMX bikes. Even cooler is the fact that each of the stunts mix the music track being played. That's because the BMX has essentially been turned into a DJ's turntable.
Japanese bike-sharing company Cogoo developed a kit, dubbed the Turntable Rider, that effectively lets you become a DJ as you ride around the skate park. The bike's wheels act as jog wheels, the brakes function as a sound pad, and a gyroscopic motion sensor acts as a fader pad.
The Turntable Rider is all set to be shown off this weekend at the Kaikoo Popwave Festival where the Japanese BMX riders Kotaro and DJ Baku will be showing them off. Who knows, maybe someday we'll be hearing tracks on the radio that were mixed by BMX.
