An update for Google Photos lets you better catalog all those vacation pictures.

In version 1.2, you’re now able to take any picture and add it to one of your photo albums. To do this, touch the dropdown menu and select Add to album.

This Google Photos update lets you bring more organization and detail to your photo collection.

You can also use the Set as command to turn a particular picture into the cover photo, which gets featured in the app’s Albums section.

Additionally, when you tap the Information icon, there’s now a space to write a description about that picture. Add in a few details if you want to remember why you took this particular shot.

You can wait for the update to land in the Play Store or grab it now from APK Mirror.

The story behind the story: Google Photos is an excellent way to keep all your pictures saved to the cloud. Though like any new service, there are a few quirks to work around. Expect more features to roll out as Google clearly wants to be the go-to picture service on Android.
