If you're looking to start off the new year with a shiny new 15-inch laptop, we have a great deal for you. Make that two great deals: Walmart is selling an HP Pavilion gaming laptop for $799, down from its $999 list price and an AMD-based Dell Inspiron for $379 for a savings of $170 off its $549 list price.

The more expensive HP Pavilion 15 features a 1080p display, a six-core, 2.2GHz Intel “Coffee Lake” Core i7-8750H, 8GB of SDRAM, 16GB Intel Optane memory, and a 1TB hard drive. For graphics, it’s rocking an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 with 3GB of VRAM. For $799 this is a pretty great gaming machine, and it should easily handily most games at 1080p, 60 frames per second, with video settings set to high.

The second laptop for sale isn't quite as high-end, but it's still a sold machine. The Dell Inspiron 15 5575 also features a 15.6-inch 1080p display, along with a 2GHz quad-core AMD Ryzen 5 2500U APU with Vega 8 graphics, 4GB of RAM, and a 1TB hard drive. We haven’t tested Vega 8 ourselves for its gaming capabilities, but what from what we’ve seen it should be a great option for esports games such as Counter-Strike: GO, Fortnite, Overwatch, and Rocket League.
