It’s true, this is the absolute best episode of The Full Nerd made so far this year. And yes, it’s the first one too, but that doesn’t make it any less great. In this episode of The Full Nerd, Gordon Mah Ung, Brad Chacos, Alaina Yee, and Adam Patrick Murray talk Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 2060.
Is RTX 2060 worth it, and what’s it really capable of? Brad lays it out. The gang then moves on to new belle of the ball: AMD’s highly anticipated 3rd-gen Ryzen CPU, and Gordon makes a wild prediction about what it’ll have and how much it’ll cost.
Sure, you’ll dismiss it as just crazy ol’ Gordon but he recently predicated that Nvidia would finally “cave” and support AMD’s FreeSync—just before Nvidia, in fact, finally declared support for Adaptive Sync.
That brings us to the gang’s discussion about one helluva CES. It was so crazy that 40 GeForce RTX-based laptops announced on Sunday night felt like old news by Thursday.
