Leaks, leaks, leaks, leaks, leaks. We’re coming up on the annual Steam Summer Sale, and as usual someone decided to not-so-accidentally disclose both the date and duration—supposedly.
If Steam Database is correct (and they usually are) then we can expect the Summer Sale to arrive on June 23 and last for two weeks. Here’s the tweet:
//Since “confidential” means nothing to certain Steamworks developers, Steam Summer Sale will start on June 23 and will last two weeks.
— Steam Database (@SteamDB) May 16, 2016
It’s not exactly halt-the-presses news, given that it’s both within the standard Summer Sale window and lasting for the standard two-week period, but now you know. And knowing is half the battle, meaning “Maybe don’t buy that game you’ve been side-eying recently and wait until it goes on sale.” You know, if you’re interested in that sort of thing.
And I guess keep your fingers crossed Valve brings back the old (it’s a carnival!) Daily Deals and Flash Sales model instead of the recent (boring and adult) same-price-throughout-the-entire-sale setup.
We’ll keep you updated if we learn more.
