Just in time for Apple’s new iPhones, Verizon is extending upgrade privileges to anyone who’s eligible in the next two months.
As Android Police reports, customers with upgrade eligibility before November 15 can get their upgrades starting now. You can check your eligibility through Verizon’s Website, as the shift should kick in automatically.

Although the promotion may have been prompted by impending launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on Friday, subscribers can use their upgrade for any phone that Verizon sells. That includes Android phones and Windows Phones.
Verizon may be feeling some pressure to lock up existing customers as the wireless market sees renewed competition, especially from T-Mobile. Over the last year, T-Mobile has launched a barrage of price cuts and promotions, triggering a price war among the major carriers. At an event last week, T-Mobile CEO John Legere said twice as many people are changing from Verizon to T-Mobile as are changing from T-Mobile to Verizon.

And right now, there are lots of opportunities to shop around. T-Mobile is still paying early termination fees to those who switch, and Sprint is offering a $100, 20 GB per month family plan until the end of 2015 for new subscribers. AT&T doesn’t have any special incentives to switch right now, but current subscribers can get an immediate upgrade when switching to an installment plan.
