For years, AMD has tries to lure PC gamers with its “Never Settle” bundles, which include a selection of games with the purchase of a graphics card. But until now, AMD’s newest R-series graphics cards had been largely left out.
Starting Monday, a new “Never Settle Forever” bundle is finally available with AMD’s R-series cards, from the lowly R7 240 all the way up to the high-end R9 295X2. For the first time, buyers can also choose from a handful of indie games as part of the bundle.
The number of games that buyers get depends on the level of graphics card. Radeon R7 250X cards and below fall into the Bronze tier, which includes one free game. The Silver tier covers mid-range R7 260 and R9 270 series cards, and includes two free games. All R9 280 and higher cards fall into the Gold tier, which includes three free games.
Here’s the list of available AAA games in the bundle:
- Dungeon Siege 3
- Dirt 3
- Alan Wake
- Darksiders
- Darksiders 2
- Company of Heroes 2
- Total War: Shogun 2
- TitanQuest Gold Edition
- Supreme Commander Gold Edition
- Just Cause 2
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Silver and Gold only)
- Payday 2 (Silver and Gold only)
- Murdered: Soul Suspect (Silver and Gold only)
- Thief (Silver and Gold only)
- Tomb Raider (Silver and Gold only)
- Hitman Absolution (Silver and Gold only)
- Sleeping Dogs (Silver and Gold only)
AMD is also offering indie games in two-packs, with each pack counting as a single selection. Buyers can choose any combination of The Banner Saga, Dyad, Guacamelee, and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack.
Compared to the previous AMD bundle, this one has more options, though it skews more toward strategy games than the last time around. It’s also missing Devil May Cry, Far Cry 3, and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, which were some of the most compelling options in the last bundle. The recent Thief revamp is a new inclusion, however.
Still, the new Never Forever is more attractive than Nvidia’s current bundle, which only includes the game Daylight and some currency on a few free-to-play titles. It helps nudge the scales toward AMD if you’re on the fence between brands—though you’ll still need to watch out for inflated prices derived from the Bitcoin boom.
