Named Lego Minecraft Micro World, three Lego fans developed the final design: Chris Malloy, Kyle Tingey, and Bjarne Tveskov. The set comprises of a typical mine with a hilly terrain on top, and all the essential minerals hidden underground. The set includes two characters—Steve and of course, a Creeper. As with many Lego sets, not only are there variations of the build, but also plenty of bricks to create your own Minecraft playground.
According to the CUUSOO blog:
The concept has taken quite the journey from the original concept images at a 2×2 brick scale. Once the group saw the micro-scale concepts, there was no doubt that this was the right direction for the product. Bjarne Panduro Tveskov, himself a former LEGO model designer, said the scale “packs the most Minecraft DNA into the model per LEGO brick,” and we all agreed.
The design is about to hit the production lines, and you can already guarantee you get your hands on one by pre-ordering the $35 sets. Remember, 1% of the price will be donated to charity by Lego CUUSOO too.
Small catch: to pre-order, you will need to become a fan of Lego CUUSOO on Facebook first, though that’s a small price to pay for such a great job bringing this to Lego’s attention. Lego itself will be selling the sets sometime this summer if you want to wait it out.
