The 17.3-inch Series 7 is designed for gaming, and features high-end specs such as an Intel Core i7-3610QM processor, a discrete Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M graphics card, and 16GB of memory. It’s also got a whopping 2TB of hard drive space (two 1TB drives) and a Blu-ray disc player.
The aluminum-clad Series 7 is thin and portable–for a gaming rig, anyway–measuring between 1.3 and 2 inches thick and weighing 8.4 pounds. Samsung also claims the system can start up from hybrid sleep mode in just two second.
For all this, the Series 7 isn’t cheap. It’ll cost you $1899 if you pre-order it at Abt, and there’s no word on when it will start shipping. It’s not yet available at other online retailers, but it is listed for $100 less on Samsung’s official product page.
Update: It looks like the Series 7 Gaming Laptop was posted to Samsung’s store in error, and has since been taken down. Take those specs with a grain of salt until the official order page goes back up, and don’t forget to check out our coverage of the laptop from CES.
