To unlock your Sensation, you’ll need to download the Google Android SDK to run the fastboot command and request an identifier token. Then you’ll input your token to HTC Dev portal, which will eventually send you the unlock key to set you free into the ROM pastures. Be sure to read the full instructions on HTC Dev.
Once again, HTC is presenting its users with a bevy of disclaimers, informing them that unlocking may ultimately brick their handset. So be sure to consider that some of your DRM’d content may become unplayable. There’s also the non-guarantee that “updating your device via firmware over the air will not render your device unusable,” so be warned. But we’ve already come this far, discretions be damned…
