So, with many new people now joining the somewhat barren TouchPad party, what would happen if your new touchscreen purchase were to break? HP support for the tablet isn’t going to be around forever, and as one writer at International Business Times puts it: “The value of buying a product that actually has a company supporting it is that you have someone to speak with when things go awry.”
But worry not, TouchPad owners: The folks over at iFixit are here to save the day. The teardown champion has released its complete range of repair guides for the near-death tablet, meaning you can fix any problems yourself.
The DIY guides offer a run-down on how to fix many of the TouchPad’s parts, including replacing the LCD screen, the USB connector, and more.
The iFixit TouchPad guides are available for free as part of a WebOS app that not only lists TouchPad guides, but has all of iFixit’s advice in one place.
