Teaguedino is a project by Teague aimed at those who can’t program, but have plenty of cool ideas. It’s an open-source board that not only lets you build your creations, but it also shows you how to code in C (and Teensy++ later on)–essentially, you learn by experimenting and having fun, and not starting off down in the deep end. You can upload your creations to Teagueduino’s website, so others can have a go at your idea, or help you advance further with it.
At present, the project is trying to raise funds ($22,000) via Kickstarter in order to create the starter kits at a fair price. Basic kits cost $160, and they’ll get you a Teagueduino (with Teensy++ already on there), various imputs and outputs, and a servo bundle. More expensive kits for bigger projects are also available. At the time of writing, the guys are still over $18,000 from their target, but hopefully more people will contribute.
It’s a really great project to help get people motivated to create more awesome robots and hacks (that Geek Tech can then later write about!). Watch the video to learn a little more about how Teagueduino works or check out the Kickstarter page to see creations using the electronic board.
