Redmond Pie is reporting that Peter Hajas, lead developer of MobileNotifier, a notification tweak for jailbroken iOS devices, might be on Apple payroll.
That doesn’t exactly confirm things, but it is intriguing. Hajas left a note on his blog saying he was taking a break from MobileNotifier but it wouldn’t be hard to figure out what he is up to now.
What does it all mean?
If Hajas is helping Apple with updated notifications for iOS, the official update from Apple could end up looking an awful lot like MobileNotifier. Then again, if Apple is just now snatching up Hajas, it either means that updated notifications might not make it into iOS 5, Apple already has its own plans in the works or Hajas will be working on something unrelated to notifications.
This speculation just may lead to another case of we’ll-have-to-wait-for-WWDC-for-answers syndrome.
