Why bother with shareware and demos if all you want to do is encode
your CDs? True to its name, FreeRip is a no-cost application that
rips songs from your music CDs, saving them in digital format. It
does not require a sound card; everything that is needed is
included in the program.
FreeRip can convert between audio formats, as well, so you can save your CD tracks as WAV files, MP3s, or whatever file type best suits your media player. It supports ID3 tagging to help you keep your music organized. One last perk to the program: FreeRIP MP3 will automatically download your song’s title and other data from various CDDB Internet databases and store the information within your music files. Note: this last feature only applies to MP3 and Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) files.
