Videoconferencing can make you feel like you’re in a badly dubbed
movie. SightSpeed reduces latency so you don’t see jerky images
with amateurish lip synching. Your lips and the words they shape
will match–no Milli Vanilli syndrome for you.
SightSpeed’s software is free. Receiving video from the video
messenger is also free, as is unlimited VoIP calling. You also get
your own SightSpeed page, which lets you host video calls in your
browser window. To host multiparty calls, you must subscribe to the
pay-only SightSpeed Pro.
This version includes a much-improved video codec default, which
produces clearer images. For a fee, PSTN outdialing is available as
well. If your PC has a TV tuner card, you can now also watch a
remote TV–even control the channel–with the new SightSpeedTV
The download link will take you to the vendor’s site, where you
must register to download the software.
