BitTorrent has become the de facto protocol for sharing files
online, but the actual BitTorrent client leaves much to be desired.
That’s where BitLord comes in. From one interface, you can find
files to download, and then download and manage them.
BitLord has all the usual features you would expect, including the
ability to stop, start, pause and resume downloads. You can create
torrents as well. And there are useful logs for tracking your
overall activity. It’s simple to use and compact, and it’s
certainly a step up from the official BitTorrent client. However,
it lacks some of the social networking features of some other
BitTorrent clients, such as being able to share recommendations. So
if that’s what you’re looking for, turn instead to a program such
as TorrentSwapper. But if you care only about file-sharing, BitLord
will do the trick.
