Note: This review addresses an earlier version of the software.
As a longtime user of Windows Media Center, I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to discover My Channel Logos. This free plug-in adds channel logos to the WMC TV guide. It makes for a much better and easier-to-navigate guide.
Even cooler, My Channel Logos handles all the grunt work, automatically finding and applying logos for over 250 networks. The developer has a fairly straightforward installation guide on his site, so I won’t regurgitate the details here.
I will mention that MCL requires Windows 7 Media Center, and that it’s free–but the developer requests a $3 donation. I consider that more than fair, so if you find yourself loving this little tool as much as I do, pony up.
Note: This program is donationware. It is free to try, but the author accepts and encourages donations towards further development. The software will remind you of this. This software comes in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. This is the 32-bit version. If your 64-bit PC is running a 64-bit OS, please download the 64-bit version instead.
