In the case of the Motorola Xoom, imagine how nice television programs would look on its HD 10.1 screen. The bad news? Hulu is not currently available in the Android Market and also doesn’t work properly in the browser. The good news is that XDA developer “Bigrushdog” has divised a clever hack to get around the browser issue–which essentially just involves removing the Flash plugin.
He advises Xoom owners to uninstall Flash on the tablet and instead swap it for his own “BRDizzled” version of Flash 10.3. Then, make sure you change the browser UA String to desktop in order for it to work. From there, Hulu until your heart’s content!
Other than making sure the browswer settings are just so, the thread also states that you might have to be running HC 3.1 on the XOOM for the hack to work effectively, due to the tegra hardware acceleration in the software. Although this is not confirmed.
If you want to get Hulu on your Xoom, check out the XDA Developers Forum thread.
