Ubisoft’s ‘We Dare’ Places Actual Girls in Compromising Positions
By Matt Peckham
Oh dear, Ubisoft’s apparently making a Wii and PS3 game obsessed with spanking, bobbing for kisses, somewhat more aggressive spanking, partial disrobing, and did we mention the spanking?
Words won’t do justice to the profound discomposure you’ll probably experience watching the following soon-to-be-viral video, which–forewarned is forearmed–may or may not be safe for work.
The trailer’s vaguely clever in its way (you know, among other things, like being offensive to women). Also, clearly aimed at guys (no guy-on-guy action here). If you’ve always wanted a game where you can dare others to do awkward, uncomfortable, objectifying things, this is probably it.
“We Dare is a sexy, quirky, party game that offers a large variety of hilarious, innovative and physical, sometimes kinky, challenges,” goes Ubisoft’s pitch. “The more friends you invite to party, the spicier the play!”
All I’m gonna say is, you want to play this with intimate friends, if you play it at all, and by “intimate” I’m not talking about your work pals, the neighbors, or–heaven forbid–your extended family.
