Earlier in the week, we bought you the ultimate Apple sin: an iPad running Windows 95. This time around, a hacker going by the hanfle “Hexxeh” managed to run Google’s new Chromium operating system on his iPad, thus creating the ChromePad.
Hexxeh posted a short video that proves that this epic hack is real. In the video, you can see him trying to install a Spotify extension to the iPad-ChromePad hack.
Sadly Hexxeh doesn’t disclose very much on his blog about how he performed the hack, but it’s still pretty cool. You can even see a (sluggish) mouse cursor as he moves his finger around the screen! Let’s hope he posts more and longer videos of the ChromePad doing its thing, as well as how he did it.
