The HTC Droid Incredible hit Verizon customers less than a week ago, and it’s already sold out (the Verizon website features a notice that says “Due to high demand, this device will ship by 5/14”). But if you can’t wait and you don’t want to drop $200, CNNMoney.com’s Fortune blog reports that you can get it for $50 less than the advertised price at Amazon.com.
That’s right: with a new two-year activation, you can snag the HTC Droid Incredible for just $149.99. Also, for a limited time (until 11:59 p.m. PDT Thursday, May 6), you’ll receive free activation (that is, you’ll get an activation-fee credit of up to $35 for each line you activate on a new two-year individual or family plan).
The HTC Droid Incredible, the latest and greatest “Droid” phone on Verizon, features a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera, a 3.7-inch capacitive AMOLED display, and runs Android 2.1 with the Sense user interface. It has four physical hardware keys and an optical mouse (instead of a trackball). It also comes with 8GB of internal storage, as well as a MicroSD card slot that can hold up to 16GB of additional storage.
The Incredible has made quite a splash so far. At PCWorld, we suggested it could be the best Android phone available, and reviews have been favorable all over the Web.
So perhaps it’s time to hop on over to Amazon.com and pick up this “incredible” phone for $50 off. According to my friend (and loyal Verizon customer) Lisa, you can also pick up the Incredible at a $50 discount at VerizonWireless.com if you’re eligible for Verizon’s “new every two” discount.
