Google Docs users are having problems printing, exporting and uploading certain files, the company acknowledged, as it is rolling out a set of upgrades to this hosted office productivity suite.
In two separate postings on the official Google Docs Help discussion forum, a Google representative identified as Marie acknowledged the problems on Tuesday.
She indicated she would post updates to the issues, but late morning on Wednesday U.S. Eastern Time the problems remained outstanding with no further information on their cause, scope or potential remedy.
On Monday, Google announced it would start rolling out to Docs users a series of long-requested enhancements, including the ability to share folders with other users.
Also new is uploading multiple items to Docs simultaneously, instead of having to do it one at a time. The Docs user interface also got revamped.
Google Docs is a free office productivity suite that has word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. It’s also a component of the broader Google Apps collaboration and communication suite for organizations, whose Premier edition costs US$50 per user, per year.
