Claude Mize doesn’t like Internet Explorer 8. If he removes it, will he get his old version back?
Yes, although the uninstaller may scare you.
In XP, select Start, then Control Panel. Click Add or Remove Programs. Select Windows Internet Explorer 8, click Remove and follow the prompts.
In Vista, select Start, type programs and features, and press ENTER. Click View installed updates in the left pane, double-click Windows Internet Explorer 8, and follow the prompts.
A warning may pop up, telling you that “The following programs were installed on your computer after Internet Explorer 8” and may not work after the uninstall. Go ahead, anyway. You may have to run Windows Update afterwards and redo some security updates, but it’s unlikely you’ll have to reinstall any applications.
Once the uninstall is complete, you’ll have your old version of Internet Explorer back again.
