Convinced the PSP Go is a go? Leaked high-res shots and a Qore Playstation Network video (meant to be released post-E3) have made a strong case for the upcoming Portable makeover, but do they hint at anything else?
Their argument? Both boxes have strikingly similar designs — right down to the XMB bar behind the product, the Sony logo at the top left and placement of system specs (including memory.)
The prospects are exciting. The box shows the PS3 Slim sporting 120 GB of storage space, which is exactly in the middle of the $399 low-end version and the $499 Drake’s Fortune Pack.
Speaking of MSRPs, rumors have been circulating about a PS3 price cut this summer. Does that mean we could be seeing a slimmer PS3 with more storage for less cash?
At the moment, that all depends on the reliability these images, which could end-up being fakes.
Then again, considering a takedown request was issued shortly after their release and they are in agreement with the PSP Go design and specs we saw yesterday they add some weight to the speculation.
