Drewziob asked the Answer Line forum how he can email a text message to a cell phone.
Each major cell phone carrier has a domain name for just this purpose. And each cell phone’s number–with the area code but without parenthesis or dashes–is the first part of an email address.
For instance, Verizon’s texting domain is vtext.com. If my phone number was 415-555-1234 (which it isn’t), you could text me by emailing to email@example.com
Here are some other domains:
Virgin Mobile: @vmobl.com
My thanks to the folks at All Things Marked for providing me with that list.
What about going the other way? Just enter the email address into your phone.
